Blue Navy is the ambient/slowcore alias of artist Jake Dryzal; he writes haunting, introspective lyrics that are sung alongside heavily reverberated guitars, warm synthesizers, and occasional drums, piano, and strings.

'The Silent Diaries EP' is a collection of ethereal, lush ambient tracks Dryzal recorded during his freshman year of college. The creation of this EP was inspired the musician's unrequited love and homesickness. Musically, Dryzal was heavily influenced by the works of Angelo Badalamenti, Stars of the Lid, and Soul Whirling Somewhere (Michael Plaster).

A combination of retro aesthetics, enduring lyrics and alt-rock grit. The best music happens when artists refuse to remain stuck in their own comfort zones and creative boxes. Whenever this happens, they are free to give full range to their vision, and they can really come up with something that’s groundbreaking and personable. This is certainly the case here with Tommy Red and his brand new EP release, “I Wanna Be Exploited.”
