Dark Horses return this November with their new single, ‘XIII’, released on Tricky Spirits Records. Alongside the release, the band have unveiled an accompanying video in collaboration with Italian dancer / choreographer Király (AKA Marta Antinucci) and visual artist T.S. Sanchez. Shot in Berlin, the video depicts the coexistence of everyday life alongside the surreal, in a Fritz Lang futuristic style, with urban dystopian scenes. The Holocaust Memorial appears in the new video as a a sanctuary of emotions in an "ordered system that has lost touch with human reason".
Underpinned by an insistent, pulsing synthesizer in 'XIII', singer Lisa Elle paints a ghostly scene in which every one of us is broken down into data, our individuality and expression stripped back to numbers and algorithms.
Then as the razor-sharp guitars crash in, she urges you to run… because what else is there left to do in a world where the rich and powerful can tap deep into our inner psyche at the click of a button and the smell of a few dollars more?
To support the release of ‘XIII’, Dark Horses head out across Europe for a short run of dates with their partners in darkness, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
Allentown alternative rockers Vicious. are back again with an angsty new track, "S.O.O." The band partnered with Pure Grain Audio to debut the song, which is rage-rock anthem dedicated to the freedom fighters of the world, in which vocalist Sam Sky lyrically captures a shared frustration with the state of the recent sociopolitical climate. The singer elaborates:
"I feel like there are only two polarized viewpoints of people, especially in the media, that are propagated for the sake of a disingenuous agenda. There is a whole middle of the argument not represented, a whole silent majority that has common sense, that knows violence is not the answer, yet has drawn the line against the evils of post modernism and intersectionality. I'd like to think that's what this song is all about. It's dedicated to the freedom fighters out there like Gad Saad, Sam Harris, Dave Rubin, Rand Paul etc etc. People who I even sometimes strongly disagree with, yet we find common ground and love for liberty. Its dedicated to those who truly stand for the individual, assimilation of values, and true equal opportunity. Freedom and liberty are so very not cool these days amongst so many, and that shit's gotta fucking change." - Sam Sky
Hailing from Allentown, PA, four-piece aggressive alternative rock band Vicious. consists of Sam Sky (Vocals), Dan Artim (Guitar), AJ Larsen (Guitar), and Chris Arcand (Bass). Formed in 2016, Vicious is the brainchild of Sky, ex-I Am King frontman, who recruited long time friend and former bandmate Artim before acquiring a full line up and honing in on a sound they loved. Pulling inspiration from heavy metal, alternative rock, and grunge, Vicious. is a free-for-all, let loose and rock out kind of band. Lyrically, recurring themes of conflict and pain are discussed, both internal and external. The band aims to write lyrics that say what everyone is thinking, but either don't know how to or are too afraid to actually say it.
Earlier this year, the band hit the studio with audio engineers/producers Mitch Rogers (Bxd Blxxd, Varials) and Andrew Baylis (Nine Shrines) to lay down a slew of new tracks, to be released this fall. With melodic vocals and hard-hitting lyrics, Vicious. emphasizes the message that you are not alone with your demons. Frontman Sam Sky expands, "We all have them. Everyone struggles and feels like they're drowning at one point. Find the strength in yourself, and give the finger to anyone in your way."
Finnish alternative rock group Stale Lane has released new single and music video 'Pyro'. Since late 1990's on various line-ups as in MALfUNCTION musicians Tomi and Sami played loads of shows and recorded various of demos until MALfUNCTION called it quit on 2007.
After a couple of silent years, the former bandmates started to make music together again with the idea being not so much in forming a band but more collaborative and incorporating the many friends the guys have come to know over the years. This became STALE LANE. And their first single "Pyro" is here.
"'Waiting to Begin' is a song inspired by the constant struggle of becoming too busy or driven to live or enjoy life; whether you're an artist or working the nine-to-five, you've got to put things on pause once in awhile and appreciate why we're in this mess and how we can make the most of it," Patrick explains. "That's the feeling I wanted to convey, from my own perspective as an artist to everybody out there feeling the same fatigue chasing down lofty goals or obligations when we should really be living in the moment and doing what we love, day after day."

"Stay" a song from King Park speaks about the heartbreak of losing a loved one. This song was originally inspired by Murphy from Interstellar when her Father is on the other side of the galaxy. The chorus in the song “I watch our clocks move further away, I asked you to stay” alludes to the conversation between Murphy and her father before he leaves.
"We are proud of the songs ability to capture aspects of the movie while maintaining the much more real emotion of loss. I think that the movie itself does an excellent job of this - being such a grandiose film while hitting people on a very raw and personal level, we like to think our song does the same thing."
"Stay" is off their upcoming album ‘The Light I Can’t See.
A combination of retro aesthetics, enduring lyrics and alt-rock grit.
The best music happens when artists refuse to remain stuck in their own comfort zones and creative boxes. Whenever this happens, they are free to give full range to their vision, and they can really come up with something that’s groundbreaking and personable. This is certainly the case here with Tommy Red and his brand new EP release, “I Wanna Be Exploited.”
