Split EP by Debutante

2017-06-13 05:19:41 UTC

New

Debutante is the Zurich-based solo project of Chris Zimmermann, in which they blend droney shoegaze music with pop sensibilites and chiptune synths, ending up sounding like an odd blend of Boris, The Microphones and Giles Corey. With deeply personal lyrics about themes such as depression or growing up in a physically abusive household, the music varies between slow, mellow soundscapes and fuzzy, bass-heavy gut punches that capture their energetic live shows perfectly.

A split EP by Debutante with Leeds-based noise artist Feral about gender dysphoria. The Debutante side is a lengthier slowcore track with lots of glitchy synths that gets quite heavy towards the end.

Track List

  • Feral - What's The Worst That Could Happen? - 02:36
  • Feral - Cry Yourself To The Hanging - 03:31
  • No Mirrors - 12:20

Genre : alternative, drone, pop, noise, rock, post-punk, shoegaze

New

SanMono is an instrumental quartet located in Mexico City. Formed in 2014, the band has explored with sounds of post-rock, math-rock and progressive rock, creating powerful tunes alongside with atmospherical and melodic passages. The band is integrated by drummer Jerónimo Carvajal, guitarist Luis Gutiérrez, bassist Rod Barriga and Pablo Cervera in keyboards, synths and sequences.  In 2016, the band´s debut Ep was released, called "SanMono Ep".

"SanMono Ep" is the debut Ep from the instrumental band SanMono. It consists of 5 tracks that evoke the necessity of humans to have a relief of habitual stress and anger (represented by a man hitting the ground with a baseball bat on the cover of the cd). "Intro" and "Navíos" (which stands for "ships") are songs about letting out and accepting the fact that sometimes negative feelings may invade us. "Colisiones" (which stands for "collisions") is a brief interlude about daily routines that might make you feel stuck and pointless. "Punto y aparte" (which stands for "new paragraph") refers to the feeling of loosing a friend because of distance or time. Finally, "Co-dependencia" ("which stands for "codependency") is a song about taking all the feelings evoked by the other songs, in a process of healing, to finally let go, although the title refers to the fact that humans tend to embrace the suffering of the process rather than the relief.

Colisiones - 01:40

New track Hibernal by Draws Creature Mask

2017-06-06 05:04:31 UTC

New

Draws Creature Mask are a four piece math/post-rock outfit from central Scotland comprised of drummer Lee Haxton, guitarist Fraser Walpole and brothers Callum and Daniel Elks on vocals/guitar and bass respectively. Borrowing musical tricks from an endless list of influences the band write intricate and ambitious songs, creating a dense sound that evokes experimental and indie rock heroes such as Radiohead, Mogwai and The National. In the bands almost two years they have grown in a run of self-released singles from their sprawling, anxious debut 'Football Season is Over' through to this years upcoming release, the slow-burn epic 'Hibernal'.

'Hibernal' has been a centrepiece of the band's live set since their inception in July 2015. The song encompasses the groups musical idioms as found on previous singles and expands upon them with further studio experimentation and a greater attention to sonic detail. For the sessions the core band was bolstered by string arrangements and guest vocals, all of which were recorded and mixed in Glasgow by Lewis Glass at Glassworks Studio, the result being the band's most expansive and accomplished track to date.

Genre : alternative, rock, art, math, post-rock, progressive

New album Out Of The Blue by Tuber

2017-06-02 19:02:40 UTC

New

Tuber grew up in a sunny place, south of Greece, on an island called Crete. They were hiding from the sun, jamming in dark studios and playing their music in rock caves. As they moved north, sounds became lighter, since they started to miss the hot ground. The balance came as a result of smash, dark embraced light and improvisation turned into an effortless and instinctive process. Tuber moved their interest into new forms, founding themselves experimenting with compositions that combine mixed styles and sounds from a different ground. A focus is now on rock aesthetic flirting with psychedelic atmosphere and a touch of romantic mood. At this time Tuber live in Serres, forming their feelings and thoughts into music and words, still learning how to leave with reality and reinventing it with love.
