Dt Surgeon is an alt-indie band hailing from Kippens, NL, Canada. It began as a writing project by musician Stuart Gallant in the fall of 2017. Along with former band mates the Album "Small Town" was subsequently recorded in november 2017 and released in January 2018.
The album centres around the pitfalls of seclusion and isolation that exist in rural life. It interweaves between themes of depression, drug addiction, love, and death. Sometimes melancholic in nature, the album incorporates poppy melodic lines delivered by a standard vocal, guitar, bass, drum setting. It is an exercise in melding indie or early emo-ish overtones with 90's based alt-rock guitars. It is music at it's most fundamental, riddled with emotion. If you enjoy all things 90's reminiscent "Small Town" may be up your alley and worth a listen.

Szabo’s ultimate messages to fight for social justice and equality, “people are people, love is love. Society needs to stand up” professes Szabo. “I can’t stand by and watch millions of transgender youth live in fear for their safety, outcast from their homes and marginalized by society simply because they are struggling to understand their gender identity. I want to stand with them.”
Szabo’s successes to date include over 13 million views on YouTube, extensive media coverage from high profile outlets such as Perez Hilton, Yahoo Music!, PopCrush and Huffington Post, as well as being featured on multiple airline playlists and numerous notable film and TV placements. Orellana is a neo-classical/post-rock collective hailing from Bristol, UK. Their new album “52”, released in late December, brought in the new year with it’s explosive and intricate sound. The project’s music transcends genre definitions in order to focus on a broad, diverse concept that is more emotional than tangible. This particular release is full of rich and diverse arrangements, but it is also a powerful exercise in minimalism, one that showcases the strength of very few notes placed in the right spots. The simplicity of the arrangement is actually one of the strongest aspects of this entire release: there’s a palpable stillness created by the long, drone notes in the background, which almost makes you feel like the world is happening in slow motion. When the chords and notes change, it feels quite monumental due to the beautiful contrast between the stillness of the background textures and the expressive sound of the guitar-based melodies.
