Iyari is a project of Josep Mateo, member of Karta Atma, Rebery and Silveryarn, apart from other instrumental music projects and experimental like Soundreamer Days and Leth. His music is based on improvisation with guitar. He tries to capture the magic of the moment and explore new paths towards what unknown. These sounds are part of our trip, and they are waiting for us for when we need them most. With his themes he tries to return to this original point of connection where all the sounds flow and you can perceive the second music, everything is recorded in a single track; mistakes and indecisions are also part of the magic of moment. His first album "Sura" was recorded in June 2016 presenting a collection of improvisations with guitar where total freedom is the common denominator of sound, in communion with total anarchy in terms of structures and construction of the songs. In October of the same year, "Sons de Tardor" appeared and shows a certain evolution in to sound and Josep's constant search for new paths to express himself through his guitar, he brings to us eight improvisations that explain a story among all of them. In 2017 Iyari starts performing live with concerts in Ronda Barcelona and the Experimental Music Festival of Barcelona (LEM Festival) where Josep elaborates a presentation of his songs incorporating other elements such as loop pedals, drum machines and visual support with projections. In this 2018 he edits "Ostara" which is a step forward in his career recording the whole album with a loop pedal and using the effects to create hypnotic environments, other landscaping, but always looking for beauty and the mystery with its six strings.

Listen to the brand new album by Jackson Reed, Dark Areas of Description.
"I’ve undertaken many creative ventures and Dark Areas of Description, my second record as a solo act, is the most recent. While journeying through uncharted territory, Dark Areas of Description maintains my folk roots. With a mixture of dark undertones, upbeat melodies, and introspective lyrics, this record has something for everyone.
The lyrics for “Taller Than Me,” the first single taken from the LP, came out in a stream of consciousness. It mentions my family home being my greatest escape, and how time is fleeting fate. Musically, the intro/outro comes from a fingerpicking exercise where the chords go up a major scale. The title of the song – “Taller Than Me” – represents humbleness."
The SirensSound presents, "Hank" and "Let It Rain" the new singles by Declan O'Donovan.
"Loosely based on an urban legend about a promiscuous Hank Williams and woven into a story about a childhood friend, “Hank” was written separately from the songwriting phase that produced the 2017 album, Broken Sky, “Hank” has lived as a black sheep of sorts in my live repertoire for a couple of years without garnering an official studio release until now. The song was recorded during the Broken Sky sessions in Montreal back in 2016, and was produced by Jean Massicotte (Patrick Watson, Lhasa, Adam Cohen), and features, among the many outstanding musicians, members of The Barr Brothers, Patrick Watson, and The Luyas.
As the name suggests, “Let It Rain (Reprise)” is a reiteration of the opening track off Broken Sky. This alternate version is lyrically identical, yet musically and conceptually an entirely different piece than the original. On Broken Sky, I explored themes of contrast and counterpoint in both my lyrics and in the record’s production. This recording of “Let It Rain (Reprise)” is the final counterpoint to this collection of songs, offering up a dark and somewhat bruised take.
At home in the rural environs of Whitehorse, Yukon and equally at home in the urban centers of Montreal and Toronto, this broad sense of place comes into play in both of the songs."
“What I Came Here For” is the new emotional song by Luca Fogale. A well-made piece that touched our hearts.
“What I Came Here For” was written following a story my grandmother told me about being caught in a bombing raid with my grandfather in Italy during World War II. She recalled that when the attack started and they tried to find cover, one of her family members was killed, and they realized that all they could do was hold on to each other and hope to make it through unharmed.
Over the past few years of playing and sharing my music everywhere that I possibly could, I started to notice a trend. Out of all my songs, people felt the most profound connection to "What I Came Here For." Regardless of what the reason was, the song usually incited conversation – I have spoken with people who had experienced situations that were similarly devastating to the event that I wrote the song about, people who listen to it every morning to help them get out of bed, people who had made an effort to reconnect with their partner after listening to it, and countless others with a seemingly unlimited number of reasons why they were drawn to it above all else. This song has been one of the things that have helped me to remember how intensely music can connect us, which in turn has helped me to constantly rediscover the reasons why I chose to write songs in the first place.
My hope is that this studio recording of “What I Came Here For" is able to reach and connect with even more people, and in turn start even more of the kinds of conversations that I’ve been so privileged to have already had so many of."
A combination of retro aesthetics, enduring lyrics and alt-rock grit.
The best music happens when artists refuse to remain stuck in their own comfort zones and creative boxes. Whenever this happens, they are free to give full range to their vision, and they can really come up with something that’s groundbreaking and personable. This is certainly the case here with Tommy Red and his brand new EP release, “I Wanna Be Exploited.”
