Lucy & La Mer is the stunning musical endeavour of Los Angeles based singer, songwriter and activist Lucy LaForge. Lucy’s sound consists of delicate indie folk melodies, alluring pop layered vocals and her signature baritone ukulele.
Her latest single “Honey, Put Your Weapons Down” is produced by Grammy Award-winning Jared Lee Gosselin (India Arie, Eminem, Corinne Bailey Rae). Featuring breathy vocals, poignantly honest lyricism and a stunning string instrumentation, “Honey, Put Your Weapons Down” is the perfect indie pop anthem. Lucy & La Mer succeeds in composing music with a direct and clear disquisition. "The central theme for the single is transitioning, most of my songwriting happens when there’s a change occurring in my life” reveals Lucy.
Lucy describes how the single was created through experimentation and the breaking down of boundaries. Lucy & La Mer aims to be a constant reminder for audiences to learn self-love, to take a break from something that is wearing you down emotionally and to focus on what’s most important. Her music beautifully blends acoustic sounds with a modern indie pop approach.
Lucy & La Mer has been featured in top-tier media outlets, including Los Angeles Times, Brooklyn Vegan and LA Weekly. Her previous debut EP received major market radio adds and charted on popular college radio stations throughout the US. She’s worked closely with women's rights organizations, including "More Than No" and The Cabaret Con-sensual, as well as with the LGBT activist group AmBi.
French group BLVL’s new track “Internal Heights” expertly transitions between lush moments of patient pysch-pop and effervescent bursts of rock-led spaciousness, particularly at the 02:26 transition
The collective defines their music as "dark and atmospheric indie-rock". Their first video, "Internal Heights", was directed by KENDY TY.
Born in 2014 in the depths of Paris, BLVL generates a dense and atmospheric rock, with urban and contemplative influence tinted with electronic atmospherics. Strongly anchored in the ground, the quartet nevertheless keeps the ears in the stratosphere, oxygenating its ethereal melodies with a pure and euphoric air.
After playing some of the highlight venues and events in Paris underground rock (Divan du Monde, Flèche d’Or, Bus Palladium, International...), BLVL released their first EP, 'Empire Of Nights', in early 2017. "Internal Heights" is a cut from that EP.
LV Baby's music has previously been featured in the show 'Broad City'. For the track "Super Powers" in particular, guitarist Black Bear and LV Baby teamed up with Pell to create the song in a moment of self-realization. "We see a bunch of super heroes on TV, but often fail to recognize the real life super heroes both in our communities and in ourselves," LV Baby explains. "The single moms that balance work, school, motherhood, and every day adult issues. The kid in class who stands up to the bully despite the consequences. The people that decide to do the right thing regardless if it's easy or inconvenient."
"Super Powers" is an honest song for real people who try to make a real difference on a daily basis. Aside from the content, the song is as wavy as they come. The genre-bending hip-hop/indie-rock vibe sets the tone for an amazing new sound.
LV Baby began making music and playing guitar during his high school years in Mississippi. He linked up with Black Bear when he moved to Atlanta. Since then, they created a band and have been lighting the city on fire by turning one gig into 3 or 4 every time.
The new track “Mysteries of Nature” speaks for Mouth Breather – politically, socially, passionately, romantically. A track that, like lighting at a dive bar, illuminates crucial features while still leaving many mysteries to be discovered. Mouth Breather released a new music video to accompany the song on YouTube.
“Mysteries of Nature” grew out of a funky bass-line I laid down while jamming with some friends last summer. Simple, yet catchy enough that every other part of the song just seemed to naturally fall into place. There wasn’t much planning that went into the video either. The director, William Wilkinson, and I used an old TV zoom lens and a sequin curtain to capture a glossy, zoom-heavy 70s visual accompaniment."

PILLARS has played alongside established instrumental bands such as Pelican, and indie juggernauts, The Appleseed Cast, The Get Up Kids, The World Is A Beautiful Place And I am No Longer Afraid to Die, We Are Scientists and more.
A combination of retro aesthetics, enduring lyrics and alt-rock grit.
The best music happens when artists refuse to remain stuck in their own comfort zones and creative boxes. Whenever this happens, they are free to give full range to their vision, and they can really come up with something that’s groundbreaking and personable. This is certainly the case here with Tommy Red and his brand new EP release, “I Wanna Be Exploited.”
