Post-Rock, Blackgaze band from Wien, Austria, MAIRA, was formed in 2014 to create music, that leads through landscapes – first barren and eerie, and then visually stunning and fascinating. Waking up in a dark area, dreaming, in the middle of the forest, high trees are taking the light… Nothing, nothing but the cold, darkness, loneliness to feel, far away from any civilization. Chirping birds in the distance. Hope that tomorrow will come… Suddenly a sound pierces through the thick leaves, steady, pulsing. Slowly a melody unfolds… it grows. The heart creates new realms, new expectations, until the melody penetrates everything, the battle begins. The morning arises; the ray of the sun’s first light is winning the battle; so the goddess of dawn pierces the thick leaves, warms the heart… like an island, like an island of the blessed… Such, or similar emotions are to be released by music, joyful but thought-provoking. We invite you to follow us on a road full of myths, in the past, when back then as well as today a small ray of light could make a change. A road everyone experiences differently, a journey into yourself and your heart. I’m falling and I am free!
'Ikarosz' is the latest EP of the Hungarian instrumental post-rock band, Toul Syes. The EP is a retelling of the story of Icaros. Delta-v is about his longing for the Sun which leads him leaving Earth. 0 Kelvin tells how his joy of floating freely in space turns into desperation. G2V is about the end of his journey as he falls into the Sun and disintegrates.

Mindsedge has taken a different approach than on the first album "Theta". They wanted this record to feel smooth and be much more positive, despite retaining the dramatic feel of the previous record. The songs feel tighter and more structured. Shades, the titular track is unique in a few ways. It is a redoing of the drummer's old song that he recorded along with the bassist in their old band. He wrote it himself but we wanted to put a new "Mindsedge" spin on it... so they made it sound nothing like a Mindsedge song. It's somewhat ambient and poppy at the same time (even if it's twice as long as your run-of-the-mill pop-song) and features vocals by Małgorzata Pawłowska (who you can also hear on Pathways) as well as keyboards by jazz guitarist Piotr Grudzińsk. Another unique thing about the song is that it was recorded with instruments downtuned to 432Hz instead of 440Hz. It made them sound deeper, perhaps somewhat broken but also very warm.
GroundBurst is an instrumental rock trio whose sound strikes for the band’s kaleidoscopic approach and wide-open mindset. The band consists of Phil, Si, and Erik, respectively on guitars, bass & keys, and drums. These three talented musicians set out to create a lush, diverse and textural musical backdrop, borrowing from influences as diverse as electronic music, psychedelia, rock and even jazz with a minimalistic flair. Their recent release, “Triad” is an EP featuring 3 original compositions, as the title of the release might lead you to guess!
These Are Truly The Last Days is a musical project with a driven experimental twist. Their music blurs the lines between various genres, including ambient, electronica, glitch hop, and more. The project’s self-titled studio effort features 11 studio tracks.
